The Fault was never hers- Jalandhar Rape and Murder case

One more girl has lost her life. Again, the same horrific case—another young girl raped and murdered in Jalandhar, Punjab.

What was her fault?

Was it that she stepped out for a few minutes…just to call her friend…just to breathe, to laugh, to feel alive?

Was it that she wanted to spend a little time with the people who made her feel safe?

Was it that she trusted—so innocently—a man of her father’s age, thinking he would protect her, not destroy her world?

Tell me… what was her fault?

Her dreams were pure.

Her intentions were simple.

Her heart was full of trust.

And yet, she paid the price for someone else’s darkness.

Her fault?

None.

Not even a shadow of one.The fault lies in the minds that see innocence as weakness…in a society that teaches girls to be careful, instead of teaching men to be human. This is our shared social responsibility. Everyone has daughters, sisters, mothers. Who will protect them if our cities and streets remain unsafe?

Why must parents of girls live in constant fear—not because they don’t trust their daughters, but because they can’t trust the dirty minds around them.

Think about that mother…the one who had woven a thousand dreams for her little girl, each dream stitched with hope, love, and a future she believed her daughter deserved. And today, that same mother stands helpless…left with nothing but tears, nothing but memories that stab her heart, nothing but questions that will never get answers.

A mother who sent her child into the world with trust…and now clutches only silence and shattered dreams.

“Let’s join hands to keep the creators of life safe.”
